Omega Mind Clinics
Nurse Practitioners Clinic

Clinic Details

Omega Mind Clinics is thrilled to announce the opening of the mental health nurse practitioner’s clinic located on level 4 of the same building as our psychiatry clinics and the Omega Wellness Centre, offering accessible and affordable access to patients with mild to moderate mental health concerns.

The nurses clinic caters to the patient population that has more specialised needs than GPs can provide but does not warrant specialist care. The service will also work to fill the gap left by the current significant wait times to access psychiatrists after a GP referral has been completed. We currently have availability to see our mental health nurse practitioners in 4-6 weeks.

In general, nurse practitioners focus their work on medical and psychiatric diagnosing. These nurse practitioners have a variety of responsibilities including:

  • Mental health assessments
  • Psychotherapy
  • Designing treatment plans
  • Prescribing psycho-tropic medication
  • Working with patients and families to explain treatment plans
  • Educating communities on mental health
  • Help adjust medication and treatment for patients
  • Educate about new medicines and treatment options for mental health
  • Access the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme

We offer support, treatment and advice to manage your mental health:
